The Impact World Press held a book launch and discussion session was on the book ‘Building Bridges Through Social Enterprises- Opinions & Anecdotes on Development, Law & Economics of Social Enterprises in Pakistan’ by Ammara Farooq Malik, also published by the Impact World Press.
During the discussion session on the book Ammara Farooq Malik, Founder & CEO of Seplaa and author of the book, highlighted various social enterprise projects, initiatives and efforts to create more awareness about social enterprise, undertaken by Seplaa and now documented in her book. The book is based on opinion articles on the legal, social and policy position of social enterprise development in Pakistan. It has been created after a journey of 14 years in action based social enterprise leadership and development across 4 continents.
Speaking on the occasion, Ammara Farooq Malik added why it is so important to document the stories of Pakistan’s development projects that have the potential to create an impact not just by conducting the activities on ground, but by inspiring others by sharing the knowledge gained from them aswell, in a reader friendly format.
The author mentioned that this is the first book in a series of books to be published soon on case studies and opinions on creating impactful businesses and social sustainable initiatives that can benefit many.
