ICx SEPLAA Incubation Cycles 5 & 6 held in Bahawalpur

The iCx SEPLAA team held the 5th and 6th social entrepreneurship Incubation Cycles in the Sadiq Edgerton College Bahawalpur in Bahawalpur from  1st of October to 4rd of October, 2014. Over 100 students got a 4 day training during these cycles.

The workshop trainers included Mrs. Ammara Farooq Malik (SEPLAA Foundation CEO), Mr. Waqar Khan(SEPLAA Trainer/ Advocate) , Mr. Umer Hameed Qureshi (SEPLAA Trainer) and Mr. Abdus Salam (SEPLAA Coordinator, Bahawalpur.)

Students were taught through presentations and case studies about the importance and need of social enterprises in developing countries. They got acquainted with the key elements of social entrepreneurship and promotion of social enterprise, which was covered by Mrs. Ammara Farooq Malik. Leadership and conflict management was dealt with by Mr. Umer and Mr. Waqar guided the students as to the area of Legal and Finance requirements of their enterprise.

Students grasped the ideas more effectively through interaction with the trainers and were encouraged to build their own enterprises. All the intricacies of building a social enterprise were conveyed to them in a simple yet friendly manner.

Several students remarked that these workshops have taught them to think outside the box and helped them grow by inculcating an idea of giving something back to the society.
